Thermal Threads is a clothing line includes a variety of heated coats, vests, gloves, and hats designed to be self sufficient with innovative solar power technology.
Their aim is not only to help the everyday consumer, but as well as the people across the nation who are facing homelessness and in need of reliable, durable warm clothing.
The logo design process began with sketches of logomarks and wordmarks, separate or together. I knew I definitely wanted to use the imagery of a flame, so I tested it out as a logo and as a font element. I lastly came up with a patch design logo which made me think of elements of a jacket, such as a zipper.
The zipper was the perfect iconography as it was easily recognizable from any distance, as well as the slot hole to be shaped like a fire. I then refined the sketch into a digital version, and lastly chose three different color ways for the logo design.
