Born out of the Nepal earthquake of 2015, Data Friendly Space (DFS) provides trustworthy digital tools and actionable data for social impact organisations to fulfil their mission.
For the period I got to work on the design system, I was able to contribute to the sections of DFS's color palette, typography + usage, and logos in Figma. Slides 1-4 consist of my draft, and pages 5-7 consist of the finalized version with my team.
The other project I was brought onto for Data Friendly Space was the redesign of their website. The goal was to refine and condense the way information was presented, as it was previously oversaturated and lacked focus. Overall, DFS wanted be more concise in their branding and formatting to hopefully increase online engagement.
I was tasked with designing visual studies/templated for each type of card style component for the new website, which includes main case studies and reports. I also did a visual study for general photographic content.
Shown below is how the reports from DFS would be displayed on the updated website. I was assigned to design multiple image styles to visually indicate which country the report was discussing.
